Myofascial Release

A gentle manual technique utilizing sustained pressure in areas of restriction or pain

What is Fascia

Fascia is a tough connective tissue which spreads throughout the body in a three-dimensional web.  Functionally, it surrounds and infuses every structure in the body to help support and protect the structures.

Trauma, posture, surgical interventions and/or inflammation can create restrictions in the fascia increasing pressure on nerves, blood vessels, lymphatic vessels and other structures as well as cause pain.

What should I expect from my session

Your session will include a consultation to discuss your health history and treatment goals as well as a postural assessment to identify areas out of alignment or holding patterns in your body.

It is recommended for men to bring loose shorts and a t-shirt, and women to bring loose shorts and a sports bra/ two-piece bathing suit to wear for the treatment session. This allows for an initial standing, postural assessment to determine the myofascial release treatment needed. Please do not wear any body lotions or oils to your session.
